The Internet marketing age is part of a new movement. Many people are leaving their corporate jobs to start small businesses by selling products online. Everyone gets excited at the idea of having their own hours, lots of products to sell, and increasing the numbers in the bank accounts. The dreams are alive, until they actually have to start putting efforts online: creating content, building a list and most importantly, selling a product.
I was speaking with a few colleagues of mine from the Brendon Burchard event and we went over the topic of "selling." Really, no one wants to sell. Wait, I take that back. Everyone wants to sell, but they do not know how to ask for the sale. Fortunately, there's a new way to do that using a special secret sauce called the Product Launch Formula.
Brendon has formulated in his own online marketing sequence for experts however it is based on Jeff Walker's Product Launch Formula. The formula consists of strategies for adding value to the audience before even selling. What this formula suggests is to give away free content and training through online videos over a course of 10 days to help launch a product online. Before the 10 day launch, even months ahead, we are strategically adding value to our audience, so by the time the launch comes, the audience is excited to hear more about how we can help them, and then by the end of the launch they want to buy the product. With this Product Launch Formula, it isn't a hard sell, which is what most online businesses are afraid to do. When we are consistently adding high value to people's lives for free, they trust us and are open to see what we have to offer.
Some helpful tips for Selling without Selling:
1. Start building and maintaining an active response email list
2. Begin sending them valuable content
3. Strategically create a launch sequence, which includes video training and giveaways
4. Include affiliate and joint venture partners and add value to their list
5. Develop high value bonuses
The theme here is valuable content. When there is value, it doesn't feel like selling.

I recently attended Experts Academy, an event hosted by Brendon Burchard who strives to motivate and teach his students online marketing. Everybody frantically takes notes from his speech and from the powerpoint presentation online. Then he says the magical words: "When you follow this formula, you won't sound like you are selling, but you are selling."
