This Friday night, join the City of McKinney in celebrating their new park or head to the Dallas Arts District where the three museums join together again for a fun-filled block party.

Late Night at the DMA
The Dallas Museum of Art is featuring their DallasSITES contemporary art exhibit for their up-half-the-night event. The family can experiment with animation techniques, listen to live music, watch videos and see their new interactive art installation. If you have any old art and craft supplies at home, take them with you to donate to Oil and Cotton?s Available Space pop-up studio.

?Til Midnight at the Nasher
Bring your picnic blankets to for a party in the Nasher?s sculpture garden. The band Oil Boom will be playing a live concert. Stick around to watch Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater in a screening of Cars.

Crow Collection After Dark
Across the street at the Crow Collection of Asian Art, their late night event is all about wellness. Join the Yogi?os: Yoga for Youth and meditation classes and watch a tai chi demonstration. Got any wannabe stealth ninjas in your family? Check out the class on ancient ninja principles at 9pm.

Park opening celebration in McKinney
The City of McKinney is having a ribbon-cutting event for its brand new Bonnie Wenk Park, at 2996 Virginia Pkwy. and located along the Wilson Creek greenbelt. At 6:30pm, check out Phase I additions on a 20-acre stretch, which includes a dog park, restrooms, two concrete hike and bike trails, and lake and connections to a larger trail system.

Bring your blankets and lawn chairs to the amphitheater where local band Kyle Brooks and the Rhythm and the Beards will take to the stage at 7pm, and get your dinner from the food trucks on site.
